About Us
The idea for Saline River Pizza all started on a hot summer day in 1973 on the island of Sicily, Italy. That memorable day, our grandmother, Antonia Mucci, perfected her hand pressed tomato sauce, complete with vineyard grown tomatoes and fresh basil and garlic. Grandmother knew it would be selfish not to share her delicious masterpiece with all who wanted it, so she started her first pizza restaurant right there in Sicily, calling it Mucci Pizzi. Before long, our parents moved to the States, and we decided to do what we know best: making authentic Sicilian pizza from scratch with "Only the Best Ingredients!"
